"Sampaguita" Philippine National Flower


Sampaguita being white in color also small in shape, it is also very fragrant,its aroma will fill the whole house.There is also a legend of it, about two lovers who said "Sumpa Kita, ikaw lang ang iibigin" (My Pledge,that you are the only one I will going to love). Until death they fulfill their promises,then a white flower grows at the top of the lovers graveyard.Now it is known "Sampaguita" or Pledge of Love.
Sampaguita's white color represent the purity of love by the lovers to each other and the sweet scent symbolizes the never fading commitment of the lovers.Therefore,the Sampaguita flower usually put by every Filipinos to their church altar,pocket,drawer,closet,anywhere at home or offices. Sampaguita also serves as garland to welcome very important visitors. During wedding, others put this on the aisles as well additional ornament to their entourage car. Can be use as bouquet or shower to the aisle by the flower girls.
Sampaguita symbolizes every Filipino's attitude or lifestyle. Everybody is fond of making themselves freshly clean through everyday bathing at home, riverbanks, swimming pool & beach resort.Before going to bed at night again taking a bath. Washing & changing clothes everyday.Whole house is very clean in & out. Every Filipinos want their home so, perfectly arrange or organize.Therefore, I may say that every Filipinos specially educated ones are very observing the proper hygiene. I could say that Filipinos are "mabango" & "malinis" so sweet to smell & very clean regarding to their whole body as well foods.
One thing more most of the Filipinos are honest, faithful, loving,caring as well as God fearing people.Therefore, Philippines is known as the only Christian nation in Asia ( continent).You too, can plant even use our Sampaguita flower!
